Almost all the electronic circuits for the hearing instruments are designed in-house. OTICON houses also the central R&D of the WDH group, which includes the companies Phonic Ear, providing wireless communication systems and assistive listening devices for the hearing impaired, and Sennheiser Communications offering headsets for professional users.
OTICON will implement a demonstrator representing an assistive listening device in WP7. OTICON expects to apply results from WP1 and WP2 on the system level as well as technical results from WP4 (ultra-low power radio & rechargeable battery) and WP5 (intelligent acoustic user interface).
