Profile:

SONION MEMS A/S is the subsidiary of SONION working in the field of microelectromechanical systems and responsible for developing and manufacturing SONION’s silicon microphone. SONION supplies acoustical and electromechanical components to manufacturers of personal communication devices such as hearing instruments, mobile phones, and high-end headsets. SONION employs 3,000 people in Denmark, Poland, the Netherlands, the USA and the Peoples Republic of China.  

Role:

SONION contributes with market and technical know-how for audio applications on the component level:

• WP5: Sensors for Ambient Intelligence, intelligent acoustic user interface
• WP6: Technology integration platform, industrial assessment
• WP7: Contribution to the demonstrator Assistive listening device
